How do I remember the name of this rap song when I heard a few second clip of an instrumental?

I was in a parking lot last night after we saw a rap concert and
someone had a rap song playing in their car, and it was a great hit
from the 1990s or early 2000s, and I swore I remembered it, but I only
heard a few seconds of the instrumental because the car went on, and I
didn't hear any of the words. It kinda sounded RB a little or maybe a
club song, but just that brief second of hearing the instrumental part
of the song, I remembered hearing it way back in the day. It's weird
how you remember songs from back in the day. I lost the tune in my
head, but for that brief second, I knew what the song was. I'm a goofy
white kid, so its even harder for me to remember who the singer was,
but I know good music when I hear it. I would google it but dang I
didn't hear any of the lyrics.
It was no one like Tupac or Nas, it was just a regular good club/rb
radio hit from the 90s
I have a brain but its one of those things that just slips yo memory,
so quit hatin lol
