Masohn cast in ABC's '666'
Series regular Mercedes Masohn of ''The Finder'' remains cast in ABC drama pilot ''666 Park Avenue.'' 'Family,' '30 Rock' lead TV in Comedy Awards
"Modern Family" and "30 Rock" leads the TV charge while "Bridesmaids" and "Crazy, Stupid, Love" are the top nominees in the film categories for Comedy Central's second annual Comedy Awards. 'Common Law' set for May 11 debut
USA Network has set May 11 as the launch date for freshman dramedy series "Common Law." Skein, from CBS Television Studios and Junction Entertainment, focuses on two cops who are forced into couples therapy to save their professional partnership. "Common Law," set for 12 episodes and currently shooting in New Orleans, will air at 10 p.m. Fridays, a night the cabler successfully debuted "Monk," "Psych" and "White Collar." USA Network is scheduling the Sarah Shahi-starrer "Fairly Legal" at 9 p.m. Fridays and will use that as a lead-in for the "Common Law" premiere. As in the broadcast world, Fridays can be difficult for cablers to draw attention to their wares but USA Network bucked the trend in 2009 when hit series "White Collar" aired its first season there. "Common Law" was originally scheduled to debut Jan. 26, but the show was moved to summer -- a traditional strong season for USA Network -- after receiving high praise from focus groups. Michael Ealy, Warren Cole, Jack McGee and Sonya Walger star in "Common Law," which is exec produced by pilot director Jon Turtletaub, co-creators Cormac Wibberley and Marianne Wibberley, and Craig Sweeny.
